About the Healthy Pet Summit
The Healthy Pet Summit 2026 is set to be the veterinary industry’s largest virtual CPD education event dedicated to pet nutrition, gastrointestinal health and supplements - bringing together more than 4,000 veterinary professionals for a full day of learning.
Taking place live online on Saturday 17th October 2026, the summit will feature expert-led presentations, practical clinical cases, and an interactive nutrition quiz. Across the day, leading speakers will cover topics including renal nutrition, pancreatitis, obesity management, GI disease, chronic enteropathies and diet trials.
The event is free to attend, with recordings available after the live programme, giving veterinary professionals the flexibility to learn in a way that suits them.

Sara Hormozi
MSc Animal Nutrition | Head of Science & Education, UK Pet Food
Sara is Head of Science & Education at UK Pet Food and holds an MSc in Animal Nutrition. She leads the organisation’s scientific communications and educational initiatives, working closely with the pet food industry and veterinary profession to promote evidence-based pet nutrition. She has been with UK Pet Food since 2011 and has developed a range of educational initiatives, including its Pet Food and Nutrition Course for veterinary professionals.
Georgia Woods-Lee
BSc (Hons), RVN, CertCFVHNut, VTS (Nutrition)
Georgia Woods-Lee qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2004. In
2015, Georgia joined the ROYAL CANIN® Obesity Care Clinic at the University
of Liverpool, Small Animal Teaching Hospital, where she is now dealing
exclusively with pet obesity care and nutrition.
Georgia was awarded her Certificate in Canine and Feline Veterinary Health
Nutrition in 2017, the American Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in
nutrition certificate in 2019, and her BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing
(Top-up) degree in 2022.
In 2023 Georgia was appointed as clinical lead for the Obesity Care Clinic
and an academic researcher whilst also working towards a PhD in pet obesity.
Dr Marge Chandler
DVM, MS, MANZCVS, DACVN, DACVIM, MRCVS
Dr Marge Chandler is an independent consultant in small animal nutrition and internal medicine, Clinical Nutritionist for Vets Now Referrals in Glasgow and an Internal Medicine Specialist at Moorview Referrals in Newcastle. She holds an MS in Animal Nutrition and a DVM from Colorado State University and completed residencies in small animal medicine and clinical nutrition at Colorado State University and Massey University. Marge is a Diplomate of the ACVIM and ACVN, Chair of the FEDIAF Scientific Advisory Committee, a founding member of the European Veterinary Nutrition Educators Group and Co-Chair of the WSAVA Global Nutrition Committee.
Nicola Lakeman
MSc BSc(Hons) RVN CertSAN CertVNECC VTS(Nutrition)
Nicola works as the Nutrition Manager for Inspiring Vet Care and graduated
from Hartpury College with an honours degree in Equine Science. She
qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002, achieving her VTS in nutrition
in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing at Glasgow
University in 2021.
Nicola has written for many veterinary publications and textbooks. She is
the editor of Aspinall’s Complete Textbook of Veterinary Nursing and is one
of the consultant editors for The Veterinary Nurse.
Her awards include the BVNA/Blue Cross VN of the Year Award in 2010, The
College of Animal Welfare Barbara Cooper Professional Development Award
for outstanding service to the veterinary nursing profession in 2012 and
2024, and the BSAVA Bruce Vivash Jones Award for recognition of outstanding
contributions to the advancement of small animal veterinary nursing.
Cat Henstridge
BVSc ESVPS Cert GP (SAM) MRCVS
Cat is a graduate of Bristol Veterinary School and has spent her entire
career in first opinion veterinary practice. Her clinical interests are
the care of senior pets, chronic pain management and dentistry but her
passion is, and has always been, communicating and collaborating with pet
owners to help them fully understand and engage in their pet’s care.
This is why she started a blog, which then led to social media pages, and
she is now well known in the vet and public space as a fierce advocate for
both animals and her profession.
Susan Campbell RVN
DipAVN (Medical), RVN, FHEA, CertSAN, CertVNECC, MBVNA
Susan Campbell has worked across first-opinion practice, university teaching hospitals and private referral hospitals since 2000. She became the Dick Vet Nutrition Nurse in 2015 and has since expanded its Fit for Life nutrition service, providing bespoke nutritional advice for patients referred by specialist veterinary teams and the first-opinion clinic. Susan also runs follow-up clinics to monitor patients and support owners in implementing dietary plans at home. Alongside developing feeding plans for inpatients, she teaches undergraduate veterinary students through lectures, clinical skills sessions and practical assessments. She has a particular interest in evidence-based veterinary medicine and contributes to clinical research projects within the hospital.
Lucy Williams
BVSc, MRCVS
Lucy Williams BVSc MRCVS is Marketing and Veterinary Technical Services Manager at Carus Animal Health. A veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in gastroenterology, she works with clinicians, researchers and academic partners to advance the diagnosis and management of chronic gastrointestinal disease in dogs and cats. Lucy regularly delivers CPD on gastrointestinal diagnostics and is actively involved in the clinical application of GIQuest®, a point-of-care faecal calprotectin test designed to support evidence-based decision-making in practice.
Professor Ed Hall
MA, VetMB, PhD, DipECVIM-CA, FRCVS
Ed Hall is Emeritus Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Bristol. A Cambridge graduate, he undertook postgraduate clinical and research training in Philadelphia and Liverpool, and is a Diplomate of the ECVIM-CA. He is a Past President of the BSAVA and a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (Gastroenterology).
Dr Aarti Kathrani
BVetMed (Hons), PhD, DACVIM, DACVN, FHEA, MRCVS
Dr Aarti Kathrani graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006 and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. She subsequently completed a PhD in canine inflammatory bowel disease at the RVC in 2011. Aarti undertook a residency in small animal internal medicine at Cornell University, followed by a clinical nutrition residency at the University of California, Davis. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in both Small Animal Internal Medicine and Nutrition. Aarti is currently Associate Professor of Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine and Nutrition at the Royal Veterinary College.
Dr Julien Dandrieux
BSc, Dr med vet, PhD, DACVIM, GCUT, MRCVS
Dr Julien Dandrieux completed his veterinary degree in 2002, followed by a rotating internship and thesis at the University of Bern. He undertook specialist training in small animal internal medicine through a joint programme at the University of Bern and Louisiana State University, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2008. Julien has worked as a Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Liverpool, a medicine consultant at IDEXX and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, where he completed a PhD in gastroenterology. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. His research interests include gastrointestinal and immune-mediated diseases and immunosuppressive therapies.
