Pain Management is something as vets we do almost every day.
In this specialist session mini-series, we will look at how we can approach challenging medical and surgical patients to provide good analgesia.
We will cover:
- How can we approach the management of pain in challenging small animal cases?
- Treatment options for small animal patients, including opioids, ketamine, paracetamol and lidocaine
- Pain scoring, how and when to escalate analgesic treatments?
We have standard protocols we use, but what do we do when those approaches don’t work for very painful patients, or if they have complex problems?
Join the specialist session to learn how we can approach challenging medical and surgical patients to anticipate the type of pain they might experience.
