Heartbeats on Hold:
Navigating ECGs Under Anaesthesia

This lecture aims to provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of electrocardiogram (ECG) use and interpretation on a very clinical and practical level, mostly focussing on its use in the peri-anaesthetic period.

Optimal ECG positioning and placement will be demonstrated as well as how to troubleshoot some common equipment-related issues. Additionally, the lecture will cover the fundamental principles of the cardiac conduction system and ECG interpretation.

Delegates will also develop a systematic approach to interpreting ECGs, enabling them to assess and analyze a broad range of case scenarios and understand their significance in relation to patient health.
