Chronic enteropathy describes what was previously referred to as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The causes are not well known, but are suspected to be a result of an abnormal response by the body to certain intestinal bacterial or dietary antigens (proteins).
In this session with Benoit Cuq, you will learn:
- What the clinical presentation is and the differential diagnosis for chronic enteropathy in dogs
- The investigations & optimum timing to perform these tests
- The biomarkers available to investigate extra-intestinal disease or intestinal disease
- The role of biopsies in the investigations of chronic enteropathy
- Plus, treatment options and long-term follow-up
