How and When to Use Vaccine Serology to Confirm Protection and Avoid Overvaccination
Live Webinar ┃ Tuesday 3rd November ┃ 7:30pm GMT
Talk Summary
Should you be titer testing before vaccinations?
In this live webinar from Nathaniel Whitley, we will be discussing how protection against some diseases can be assessed by serology using patient-side tests or gold-standard laboratory assays. You will discover how antibody testing can help confirm when a puppy or kitten has completed its primary vaccine course, determine whether an adult pet truly needs revaccination, and support difficult decisions for patients with immune-mediated disease or those receiving immunosuppressive treatment.
This practical session will show how serological testing can help vets balance protection with risk, avoid unnecessary vaccination and deliver safer, evidence-led patient care.

Biogal Labs is a veterinary diagnostics company specializing in point-of-care solutions for companion animals.
Since 1984, Biogal has developed diagnostic platforms for infectious diseases, serology, and molecular testing, supporting veterinarians in making faster and more informed clinical decisions.
Biogal is the manufacturer of VacciCheck, an in-clinic antibody titer test designed to assess immune response to core vaccines. For dogs, VacciCheck measures antibodies to canine parvovirus, canine distemper virus, and canine adenovirus, while the feline test evaluates antibodies to feline panleukopenia virus, feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus.
VacciCheck helps veterinarians confirm vaccine response and assess existing immunity, supporting more individualized vaccination decisions. The test is used internationally in veterinary clinics, laboratories, shelters, and research settings.
VacciCheck is available to UK practices through Nextmune UK Laboratories.
