An update on protein losing enteropathy in dogs 

Julien completed his veterinary medicine degree in 2002, followed by a rotating internship and thesis at the University of Bern. This was followed by specialist training in small animal internal medicine as a joint program between the University of Bern and Louisiana State University and he became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2008.

He worked in the UK as a lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Liverpool and as a medicine consultant at IDEXX before moving to Australia where he completed his PhD in gastroenterology at the University of Melbourne. He was Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at Melbourne until May 2022, when he moved to the University of Edinburgh where he is Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Julien’s research focuses includes gastro-intestinal diseases, immune-mediated disease and the use and monitoring of pets treated with immunosuppressant drugs.

Libby graduated from Dublin vet school and after 10 years working in mixed and small animal practice, she entered industry working in pet nutrition. She then set up and ran her own company Mojo Consultancy, specialising in technical communications, PR and project management, before joining Purina Petcare in 2018 as Scientific Affairs Manager for the UK & Ireland in 2018. In 2022 she gained a Masters in Health Care Management examining organisational transformation, professional decision making and global leadership, which she passed with Distinction.
