WelcomeĀ
Hypocalcaemic Exotic Patients
Hypocalcaemia in exotic pets is very common and can be a cause of lots of stress in veterinary teams as well as significant compromise to the patientās welfare. The presentation in practice of hypocalcaemia is quite variable and is often misdiagnosed; in this talk we will review the metabolic pathway of calcium in the common exotic pets, as well as how to treat acute and chronic hypocalcaemia (and most importantly how to prevent them!)
